2024 Drawtober Challenge

A personal challenge that I participate in annually each October, focusing on improving different aspects of my drawing. Each year, I give myself personal prompts connected by a theme. By the end of the month I’ve accumulated a new set of drawings to share.

This year’s theme focused on improving short narratives, and I chose to draw two characters from the series Bungou Stray Dogs, Dazai and Chuuya. To make sure I can complete them within a reasonable time while fully exploring each idea, I kept things simple and allowed myself three days to work on each 3-panel story. By the end of this challenge, I further finessed my workflow and gained a better understanding on writing short narratives.
